HGM completed the track and timber step installation work as part of The Kura Tāwhiti Visitor Impact Mitigation Project on the stunning Arthur's Pass in Canterbury.
HGM were contracted to complete an upgrade on the Wooded Gully Walking Track situated in the Mt Thomas Conservation Area to complete a 2.5km loop track that meets the DOC Short Walk Standards
The Waterfall track leading to the Dog Stream Falls is one of Hanmer’s busiest walking tracks. The track had some steep rocky sections making the track challenging for some track users and dangerous during the winter months or during high use periods.
Completing the planned 20 month Christchurch Adventure Park build in just 8 months was an ambitious task and HGM were excited to be contracted to work alongside other main contractors to help meet this tight deadline.
Over time the concrete surrounding the steel piles on the Bealey Bridge had eroded in places risking the integrity of the bridge. Preventative maintenance had to be carried out to avoid further erosion and weakening of the steel piles.
